Danube anual canu trip

The 53th anual international Danube canu trip TID-2008 will start in Vidin on July 16 and will end in Silistra on August 31. The participants in the trip will camp on the Danube bank in the following towns:

Novo selo, Vidin, Kozloduj, Lom, Oriahovo (village Ostrov), Gulianci (v. Zagrajden), Belene, Svishtov, Ruse, Slivo pole (v. Riahovo), Tutrakan (v. Pojarevo) and Silistra (v. Vetren).


General assembly

The anual General assembly of the ADRM took place in Belene on April 10, 2008. Representatives of 33 of our member-municipalities participated in the event and elected a new Board of directors.

The municipalities received funds to fight mosquitoes

In the begining of the current year the ADRM started a lobbying campaign to provide its municipalities with funds to fight mosquitoes - a very serious problem in Danube river bank. With a lot of efforts we again managed to convince the Ministry of Finance to subside the municipalities - this time with 1 milion. lv. With those funds the municipalities can fight the insects and effectively protect their citizens.
