The Association of Danube River Municipalities (ADRM) “Danube” unifies 34 municipalities along the Danube River in Bulgaria.

Our main goal is to foster the social and economic development of the Danube Region in Bulgaria. That is why we work to create and preserve the optimum legislation for all our member municipalities, and to represent and endorse their interests in front of the central government. We also support the efforts of our municipality-members to develop cross-border cooperation, as well as to strengthen the self-government and the civil society.

Today we are the biggest regional association of municipalities in Bulgaria. After over sixteen years of work we have acquired a vast amount of experience, which aids our work. We are now an important part of the Bulgarian local self-government: We are a prestigious institution with its own projects, development programs, and executive staff. We continue to aim our efforts towards satisfying the needs of our members, sharing experience and best practices, and providing expert technical assistance to the municipality administrations in the region.
